Florham Park NJ Real Estate & Information

Florham Park NJ Real Estate & Information

Located 30 miles west of New York City in the southeastern part of Morris County, New Jersey is the beautiful suburban community of Florham Park. Florham Park is technically a borough, not a town, as it was incorporated as such in 1899. Besides being known for its prime real estate, Florham Park is recognized as being the home of the New York Jets training camp and the camp’s facilities, as well as the headquarters for the world’s largest chemical company, BASF. Florham Park real estate is ideal, as it is a quaint, low crime area with a population of slightly fewer than 13,000.

Shopping and Dining
Even though some of the finest eateries and shopping venues are only minutes away in the Big Apple, other hot spots are even closer to Florham Park and provide all the necessities for even the most serious of shoppers. The Mall at Short Hills is your destination for high-class fashion with stores like Gucci and Dior, while Livingston Mall has more of the middle-of-the road chains, like Gap and Aeropostale. These shopping centers have restaurants like Legal Sea Foods, but for a unique local taste, there’s Tassert’s, located right in Florham Park. Tassert’s has received rave reviews since opening in 2003 and has been said to mix “New York sophistication with an innovative menu.” Wherever you choose to eat in Florham Park, it is sure to be a delight.

Parks and Recreation
One thing Florham Park residents know how to do well is have fun. The Florham Park Recreation Department helps them do that, as it maintains all of the recreational facilities in the borough and also organizes clubs and organizations for the community. Some are developed for youth events, like the Kiddie Kamp, while others are designed for adult residents, like the Yoga program. Other fun venues unrelated to the department include the Florham Park Roller Rink and the Florham Park Gazebo, which has hosted a free summer concert series for 31 years. The longest standing community tradition (54 years), however, is Florham Park’s annual 4th of July Celebration, which begins with a parade and ends with a spectacular fireworks show at Emmet Field.

Living
Florham Park real estate gives residents the unique and pleasant combination of small town living, with big city dreams close by. Potential home buyers are attracted to the opportunities that New York City presents and at the same time, the safe residential environment that a suburban area like Florham Park provides. There’s a reason that it’s often called “A Community of Volunteers”; everyone is willing to chip in to make it a better place. In Florham Park, one not only get to know your neighbors, but also the boards and committee members that run community services, so that if anything is not up-to-par, a solution is only a phone call away. Since the borough is family-oriented, many of the homes for sale in Florham Park are single-family homes, which vary in price, depending on the area.
