Downtown Maplewood, or “The Village,” has its own movie theater, several upscale and mid-scale restaurants, a supermarket, a café, and a bookstore. For those looking for a more comprehensive shopping experience, there are numerous shopping malls in the area including Valley Mall Plaza, the Mall at Short Hills, and Livingstone Mall.
